Creative freedom is proportionate to the price one can afford to pay— asserts Mujeeb Jaihoon

For past many days and nights,
I wandered without lights.

Searching for freedom,
Missing in the mayhem.

Deserts and mountains,
I crossed,
With friends and folks,
I conversed.

And then during
This tireless wander,
I reached
A compassionate cloister.

Found in it
A Sagacious Trader,
Who sold Freedom
In the yonder.

Pleaded I,

“Give me some
Of your goods.
May I enjoy it
In the woods?”

Came the reply,

“Freedom is
Not sold cheap.
All your joys
It will meanly heap.

Your friends and folks
It will consume,
Your love and its fruits
It will deplume.

You shall no longer
Laugh like others.
Children shall be
Separated from mothers.

As everyone celebrates
Life’s colors,
Freedom will jolt you
With solitary tremors.

Hence, be careful
Of what you seek.
Freedom is not for kids
With hearts weak.

Freedom is for those
Who can bravely afford,
In their sheath,
The Solitary Sword.”
