Oppression of Palestinians is a blot on our civilized times even as the thirst of the blood-thirsty Gog-Magogs goes on- writes Mujeeb Jaihoon

We touch and swipe,
With fingers,
Yet fail to feel,
With our hearts.

Of rights and justice,
We boast,
Yet from acts of mercy,
We desist.

Mounts of weapons,
For mass destruction,
Yet not a sword even,
To defend the weak.

A thousand saviors,
For pets and plants,
But death alone befriends,
Women and kids.

HD-superheroes: applauded,
True bravehearts: media-scorned.

Gaza is a shame,
On our times and thoughts,
Blood-thirsty Gog-Magogs:
Yet to be quenched.

Gaza is the work,
Of blood and bank,
Of Qabeel and Qarun:
An evil prank.

May peace prevail,
In the land of Mary’s Son,
Till from the West,
Shall rise the End-sun.
