Angel Ridwan’s eagerly yearns for the Beloved’s arrival to unlock Paradise’ gate and begin the celebration of eternal serenity, writes Jaihoon.

Tasbih asked me in a dream,
About my journey to the City of Meem.

‘What news do you have,
For we lovers, what did you save?

The thirst of all lovers is the same,
Beloved’s absence is their only blame.

Talk of the beloved never bore,
Love made their hearts sore.

You have quenched yours,
Grant us a drink to fill ours.’

To Tasbih, I replied,
And our hearts’ joy multiplied.

Beneath the shade of Green,
I met a lover of ‘Yaseen’.

High in age and wisdom, he was,
Adorned in white beard he was.

We sat for a cup of tea,
Love made his eyes flow like the sea.

A sacred secret he shared
Never before had I heard

‘The Creator made the cosmos
In days brief as two,
Yet, this earthly world
Was shaped in days twice.

The reason lies in love, for
The Beloved in it would arrive.

The Lord took great care
He adorned the earth for His Dear.’

Hearing these words,
Watching his tears…

I took from him the cup:
Sipped it to the last drop.
For, I too craved the taste,
This fortune was not to be lost.

Hey Tasbih!
Musthafa is the anthem of my soul,
The world drank Love from that Bowl.

His is the nightingale’s song,
His is the beauty of the rose.

A glimpse of his blessed face,
Enough to be a guest of paradise.

Ridwan has been yearning
To witness Mustafa’s coming
To unlock the Paradise’ gate
For us to eternity celebrate.

O Tasbih! His love
Is my token,
My hope when to the hell
Am I taken!
