The Creed

Al Amin, the Trustworthy, has promised us a feast at al-Kawthar. The Afterlife, hence, is inevitable for the very same reason- writes Mujeeb Jaihoon

An agnostic once
Asked me for proof
Of the Hereafter—
No matter of spoof.

I replied in words light,
Sans the slightest doubt:

“The Hereafter is simply possible;
Nay, it is even inevitable.

For Meem has promised
A hearty feast,
To quench our thirst
From his intoxicating hands.”

O, His merciful Meem!

You are my
Only creed;
The rest of the Laws
I blindly heed.

Arsh and Hashr,
Jannah and Jahannam
These mirages I believe,
Merely from your thirst.
