Were humanity not lost until the Lord guided them through mission of His Beloved, asks Mujeeb Jaihoon in an eulogy of the Holy Prophet

“By the Glorious Morning Light.
And by the Night when it is still.
Your Guardian-Lord has
Not forsaken you
Nor is He
displeased.”

Came a voice within:

Were you not thirsty
And HE Meem-quenched

Were you not lost
And HE Meem-guided

Were you not in the dark
And HE Meem-kindled

Were you not depressed
And HE Meem-inspired

Were you not corrupt
And HE Meem-cleansed

Were you not in naught, O Jaihoon
And HE Meem-created you.

Mustafa is the only note
Of the saga of creation

Mustafa is the only reason
HE gives the world a damn

You owe your every smile
To the glory of Amina’s son

Neither your words nor breath
Suffice to salute his greatness

Your Lord has not given any:
Not in verse nor prose
The power nor might
To justify nor befit his praise

Therefore, keep to your self
Your hopeless dream
With your hopeless rhyme
Of Meem, the love-acclaim’
