The Love’s Abode

Angels marvel at humanity’s unique ability to construct love’s sanctuary both in this life and beyond.

For the past few days,
Thirty or so,
Angels moving around
Have begun to say:

The case of humans
Is really odd:
Here and hereafter
They build Love’s abode.

It has not been
That long since
To the Nightingale
Belonged the Rose.

Yet they converse
Across the seas:
Each other towards
Him draws close.

They raise their hands
To Him every hour.
With tears they beg Him
To bring them near.

But today they made
Their mark of thanks.
This act has raised them
To higher ranks.

They have sent a hundred
Blessings and peace.
The ‘Cool Breeze’ is at a pace
From Hind to Hijaz.
