Rahul Gandhi presented with 'Slogans of the Sage'

New Delhi (Feb 05 2018): Indian National Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, was presented with the book, SLOGANS OF THE SAGE, during the E Ahmed commemoration gathering held at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. Written by Mujeeb Jaihoon, Slogans of the Sage is a coffee table book of aphorisms by Sayyid Muhammed Ali Shihab Thangal, the late Indian statesman and philanthropist.

Entitled “Defending Democracy, Remembering E Ahmed”, the event had attracted the top politicians and officials of the nation including D. Raja MP (CPI), Mohammed Salim MP (CPM), Dr. Farook Abdulla, former Kashmir chief minister, AK Antony, former defence minister, Shashi Tharoor MP, and Shyam Saran, former Foreign Secretary of Government of India. All speakers shared their personal experiences with the late politician and diplomat.

Organized by the Indian Union Muslim League National Committee, the event was also attended by Sayyid Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, PK Kunhalikutty and Prof. Kader Moideen, national president of Indian Union Muslim League

Launched at Sharjah International Book fair 2017, Jaihoon’s coffee table book with aesthetically illustrated quotations has been warmly received earlier by several world leaders including His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance, Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Indian Prime Minister, Crown prince of Sharjah and other eminent academicians, interfaith activists and leading educational institutions.
