The Paradise lovers set their gaze on its wine, gardens and rivers. But Paradise is nurturing a different secret desire of its own to fulfill.
Everyone has a reason
To aspire for Paradise
Hoor, wine and rivers
Gardens, pearls and emeralds
I but wait for that Orphan
Whose sight will have me shaken
I have been in his wait
Since the day of Alast
All enter into me for joy
But for him is my impatient cry
As he come towards me nigh
I shall blush like a bride-coy
Hey lovers! You know well
The intent of this verse-drill
By now you have realized
The play behind the story weaved
Excuse upon excuse
Games upon games
What not I compose
To rein my love-horse
My pen is my greatest wealth
His praise: its inevitable tax
Indeed am I a hypocrite
Appear who as a saint elite
Though unworthy of his praise
His flag on every mount I raise
I smile
As his ecstatic rod smites
My proud intellect
I am lucky
His revelatory wand clears
My magical mirage
I repeat his love
On his branch I thrive
In the hope of a prayer
I believe will be heard:
Into the infinite I may pass
As in his praise my ink flows
I will then demand my Paradise-right
And continue there my love-write.
