Milad Nabi: The Heyday of Womanhood

Women deserve special celebration on the Holy Prophet’s birthday whose last words were for women’s kind treatment— insists Mujeeb Jaihoon.

Asked she,

‘What in the world today,
Happened to my dear bey?

Sweet as a candy,
Kind as a king,
Gifts galore,
Words worthy,
Gestures generous,
Care charming’.

Replied he,

‘Today is the heyday,
Born when was your savior.

‘The best of you in Faith:
Who deals with her the best;
For, none of you treats,
The women, as I, so fine’.

‘Be kind to women’, willed he,
Even as he breathed the last.

He is the Spring of kindness,
Of love, sacrifice and patience,
The beacon for the Oppressed,
And liberator for the confined.
