Dubai, April 26, 2025 — Indian author Mujeeb Jaihoon has been awarded the Macbeth Achievement Award for Best International Book. The honor was presented by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty during a ceremony in the UAE.

Jaihoon was recognized for his novel The Cool Breeze from Hind, which explores the human condition through the lens of Malabar’s anti-colonial struggle. The work blends historical narrative with elements of mysticism and has been praised for its layered storytelling, vivid imagery, and celebration of India’s linguistic and cultural diversity.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Macbeth publisher MA Shahnas, prominent Indian authors based in the UAE, and community leaders.

Known for his contributions to contemporary and mystical literature, Jaihoon’s writings have been translated into French, Italian, Urdu, Tamil, and Malayalam. He has previously received the UAE National Award for Educational Excellence in 2024 and the Sri Narayana Guru Award for Best Author in 2022.

The Macbeth Achievement Award marks a significant milestone in Jaihoon’s literary career, highlighting his role in fostering cross-cultural dialogue and enriching modern literary discourse.
