Feb 17 2019 (Barpeta, Assam): Mujeeb Jaihon, UAE-based Indian writer and traveler, officially donated his books to the Zainul Ulama Library of Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU) Assam Centre, in the presence of Sayyid Mueenudheen Hudawi, Directer in charge of DHIU Assam, Dr. MH Hashim Rifai, teacher educator, Aligarh Muslim University Kishanganj off-campus, Mohammed Rafi, Assistant Professor Assam Engineering College, and Shihaz Sultan, publisher of Satyadara Gulf.

Located in the Barpeta District of India’s northeastern state of Assam, DHIU Assam Centre is the northeast off-campus of the parental institution, Darul Huda Islamic University, based in Kerala.

The ASSAM center offers free of cost religious and secular education to its students, comprising mainly of ethnic north east communities of India. The institution also involved in commendable community initiatives as well as women empowerment programs, including a secondary girls school as well as revitalization of traditional madrassa education among the local population.

Jaihoon’s books have been warmly received earlier by several world leaders including His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance, Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Indian Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi, president of Indian National Congress, and other eminent academicians, interfaith activists and leading educational institutions.
