July 05 2018: The magazine, entitled Golden Fighters, was launched in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Basheer, vice chancellor of Calicut University, and Mujeeb Jaihoon, writer and social activist, and other college union members and principal.

The magazine features several national and international figures including Prakash Yashwant Ambedkar, popularly known as Balasaheb Ambedkar, the Indian politician and lawyer who heads Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh. He is also the grandson of BR Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India.

Also included is Medha Patkar, the Indian social activist working on various crucial political and economical issues raised by tribal sections and women facing injustice in India.

It also contains Nick Ut, the Vietnamese American photographer for the Associated Press, whose ‘World Press Photo of the Year’ depicting children in flight from a napalm bombing helped to bring an end to the American war on Vietnam.
From Kerala, the list includes Iyyacheri Kunhikrishnan, State Prohibition Council secretary, who has been waging a war for liquor prohibition in the State.
