My indifferent friend
Never am I
Of any offend

I shall consent
With your argument:

Unlike you,
I am guilty
Unlike you,
I’ve no much piety

Hey who fears ar-Rahman!
You shall soon be given Jannathaan!

What have I done-
To suffer this shun?

Like you I am a human
Cast out of heaven

Like you I am a human
Eager to endear Al Qaadir

Like you I am a human
Dear to me too is His Habeeb

When around me you are near
To approach will the devil fear

Hey the Friend of Khaleel!
Hey the Lord of Jibreel!

Reach this plaint
To that cruel friend-
Who gave no chance to defend,
Although not a fault mine I found.
