A heartbroken soul confronts a restless heart, questioning its disloyalty and the pain it inflicts, in this poem by Mujeeb Jaihoon.

Each finds its abode near,
For each other to hear.

Moon sleeps in the sky,
Pearl dwells in the shell.
Rose resides in the garden,
Ship anchors in the sea.

But, hey restless heart,
Why throb in a distant bosom?

Why betray your true kin?
Why fly with a fairy other?

Your care for me
Is no more than nil.
Why, in this state,
Your peace kill?

Your boat elsewhere row.
Why give me a deal so raw?

Your home is on the sands.
Why go live on the trees?

Your song:
From the joy of solitude,
Why sing then,
The pain of love?
