Even Ridwan may wonder how this sinner would enter the heaven’s doors into the world of hoors— writes Mujeeb Jaihoon

Confused,
Conceited,
Condemned.

O my Allah!
Consider only You can
My thoughts mean

Distracted,
Diverted,
Divided.

O my Allah!
Accept, only You can,
My prayers lame.

Fret,
Frustrated,
Frenzied.

O my Allah!
Pacify, only You can,
My worries vain.

Sinned,
Stained,
Shamed.

O my Allah!
Forgive, only You can,
My sins in ruin

Your Grace,
Munificence,
Your Bounty:
My life’s booty.

O my Allah,
I call You,
Deem You,
With empty hands
And sinful deeds.

If You forgive me,
I will write,
Note on note,
Till I meet death.

Seeing my state,
Of joy and mercy,
Even the atheist
Will faith attest.

Even Ridwan may wonder
How a sinner like me
Would enter across the heaven’s doors
Into the world of hoors.

O my Allah!
May Your Mercy
Never, even by a drop, reduce.

Forgive me
Enliven me

Let me make some gain,
In this harvest, some grain.
Have a relief from pain
And keep away from sin

O my Allah!
Forgive, only You can,
My sins in ruin.
