Allah is well aware of the warmth of every tear that flows down the cheeks of His hopeful servant- asserts Jaihoon in this devotional poem
‘Cry, cry and cry
Ah! Your Lord indeed sees you cry!’
So many roses in praise,
A single thorn pain spikes
Everywhere the sound of fame
From a silent comes shame
What is in my power-
To reconcile this flower?
Everywhere in the garden:
The talk of this Nightingale
But this Rose still counts me
Among the dwellers of hell
My world is full of joy
Yet I know not why I cry
No matter what I try
My eyes do not dry
My heart was shattered:
In pieces scattered
With the Shining Sword
When I was battered
What is the worth
Of the success I’ve had?
When in those Fearful Eyes
I appear a devil bad
For gold and riches
I have no appeal
But, for those Him-Loving Eyes
Ah! That I would not conceal
For hours and hours
I was in tears…
Looking for one among my folks
A caring heart that my sorrow hears
For hours and hours
Was I in tears:
Looking for a soul
Who my pain hears
A voice came from my Mentor
Much relief did it render
‘Cry, cry Jaihoon
Cry, cry my little one…
Your Lord indeed sees you cry
He is neither deaf nor blind:
Towards every slave
He is unbelievably kind
With the warmth of every tear
Is He fondly familiar
Cry, cry and cry
And let your eyes never dry.
Melt first heart your own
With the fruits I have sown
The remedy for the rest
From Him shall be shown’
