Dubai, UAE: The Italian translation of the illustrated book of aphorisms by the UAE-based author Mujeeb Jaihoon was launched in a grand ceremony held at The Cultural and Scientific Association in Dubai last week. The book was rendered into Italian language by Dr. Sabrina Lei, a renowned Rome-based philosopher and intellectual who has authored more than 45 books including Italian translation of Bhagvat Gita and the Holy Quran.
SLOGANS OF THE SAGE, a coffee table-styled book, contains quotations based on the life and works of Sayyid Shihab Thangal, late Keralite humanist and statesman. ‘Thia Italian translation of the former Indian leader’s philosophy is a ground-breaking moment for all Indians around the globe, especially Malayalees’, said Jaihoon, who hails from the South Indian state of Kerala and has authored nine books so far.
“We are confident that this book will be a game-changer for building peace and harmony at a time when world is contaminated by hate and intolerance’, added Dr, Sabrina Lei, an active interfaith activist whose inclusive approach in building peace, cultural and human ties across religions has been widely acclaimed.
GLI AFORISMI DI SAGGEZZA, the Italian title of the book, is published by Tawasul International Centre for Publishing, Research and Dialogue (Rome) and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
The book launch was held as part of the Sayyid Shihab International Summit, organized by Dubai KMCC (Malappuram District Committee) and was attended by prominent dignitaries including Dr Sabrina Lei, Sayyid Munavvarali Shihab (Kerala youth icon and politician) and Advocate Haris Beeran (of Hadiya case fame), reputed lawyer of Supreme Court of India. Zaad Media, Students band of Straightpath International School (Kerala), performed nasheed songs in memory Sayyid Shihab Thangal, the late supremo of Kerala State Muslim League.
