Book on Kerala Muslim Leader Presented to Prominent Orthodox Christian Priest

Sharjah (June 06 2019): Prominent trainer and consultant, Rashid Gazzali, presented Reverend Thomas Paul Ramban, a high-ranking vicar of the Orthodox Christian faction, with Slogans of the Sage, Mujeeb Jaihoon’s translated compilation of aphorisms by Sayyid Muhammad Ali Shihab Thangal, the late Indian philanthropist and statesman, who was widely popular as a champion of communal harmony and religious tolerance.

Also present were other priests and dignitaries of the St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Sharjah. The ceremony was held during the Bi-annual Gathering 2019 in which Rashid Gazzali was the keynote speaker.

Known for its cultural and literary milestones, Sharjah, an emirate of the United Arab Emirates, is home to several churches of different multi-ethnic Christian denominations living in this Muslim majority country. It is also noteworthy that the UAE is celebrating 2019 as the Year of Tolerance to promote co-existence among its multi-religious residents who hail from more than two hundred nationalities.
