Invest in Paradise: Who Knows? The Prophet Might Just Be Your Neighbor!

We often receive calls from real estate agents inviting us to invest in their upcoming properties. Our Lord, too, invites not just us, but all of humanity to invest in a Paradise-centric life—the ultimate real estate, as described in the Holy Quran and by His Messenger (peace be upon him).

The most wonderful part about Paradise is the presence of the Messenger (peace be upon him). We can directly experience his presence, love, and company in this heavenly community and project called Paradise.

As the speaker mentioned earlier, our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) loved us deeply and wished the best for us constantly. He forsook his sleep and rest to pray for his community and humanity as a whole. He sought and desired goodness and happiness for us, promising these blessings from Allah.

We remember and invoke blessings upon the Messenger (peace be upon him) for our own benefit, not to add anything to his status or greatness. In the Holy Quran, Allah says regarding the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Indeed, Allah and His angels confer blessing upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessings upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.”
Allah says in the present continuous tense that He and His angels have been blessing the Prophet continuously—whether for thousands, tens of thousands, or millions of years. Allah may have been blessing and praising the Prophet continuously since this world was created at some point in time, or perhaps even before it; we do not know.

Praising the Prophet and sending blessings upon him is something Allah has been doing eternally, and He will continue to do so. It is our immense good fortune that we are given the opportunity to hear about, speak of, and think about the Messenger (peace be upon him) in gatherings and allocate time for it.

To live and die while remembering, invoking blessings upon, and loving the Messenger (peace be upon him) is the greatest blessing. A heart that cannot love the Messenger finds it difficult to live. A life without talking about the Messenger, listening to his stories, or connecting with him lacks true meaning. The true purpose of human creation is fulfilled when we establish a connection with the Messenger.

Insha’Allah, may Allah grant us this opportunity. May Allah, out of His mercy, bestow upon us the chance to praise, love, and invoke blessings upon the Messenger, just as Allah and His angels do.
