മലയാളി സമൂഹം ഉര്‍ദുഭാഷയുടെ പ്രാധ്യാന്യം തിരിച്ചറിയണം:-സഹീറുദ്ദീന്‍ ഖാന്‍
ഷാര്‍ജ:പലമേഖലകളിലും കേരളം വളര്‍ന്നുവെങ്കിലും ഉര്‍ദു ഭാഷയുടെ അഭാവം സംസ്‌ഥാനത്തിന്‌ വന്‍ തിരിച്ചടി തന്നെയാണെന്ന്‌ പ്രമുഖ ചിന്തകനും ഹൈദരാബാദ്‌ ഇഖ്ബാല്‍ അക്കാദമി ചെയര്‍മാനുമായ മുഹമ്മദ്‌ സഹീറുദ്ദീന്‍ ഖാന്‍ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.ഇതുമൂലം മറ്റ്‌ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സംസ്‌ഥാനങ്ങളുമായി സംസ്കാരിക വിനിമയം നടക്കാതെ പോയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഷാര്‍ജ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഹാളില്‍ മലയാളിയായ ആംഗലേയ എഴുത്തുകാരന്‍ മുജീബ്‌ ജയ്ഹൂനിന്റെ ‘ദി കൂള്‍ ബ്രീസ്‌ ഫ്രം ഹിന്ദ്‌’ എന്ന പുസ്തകം പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്ത്‌ സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഖാന്‍. ഫാത്തിമ്മ റഊഫ്‌ ആദ്യ പ്രതി ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.അമേരിക്കയിലെ പ്രിസ്‌റ്റണ്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഇസ്ലാമിക പഠനവിഭാഗം തലവന്‍ ഡോ. വസീം അഹ്‌മദ്‌ ആശംസ നേര്‍ന്നു.

Urdu is wrongly portrayed as a muslim language. One can agree that it had persian and Arabic influences in Urdu. But it has equal amount of influences from the Indian culture,civilization and languages. It is also a language spoken by non Muslims also. Islam has spread in different linguistic comunities. In Kerala Malayalam is the language spoken by Muslims and it will continue to be so. Malayali muslims can never speak Urdu since it is an alien language. It has no resemblance what so ever with the Dravidian malayalam language and this north Indian language should be never forced on Kerala Muslims. Despite not knowing Urdu, malayali muslims had cultural exchangewith muslims not in India ,but across the world. So language is not important in Islam. It is the faith that makes a muslim.
