The Love of Mustafa soaks our eyes in the Zamzam of longing and reduces tsunamis of life into mere ripples— writes Mujeeb Jaihoon
Once again,
Am I alive,
Blood flows.
My eyes are soaked;
In the zamzam of longing.
To live have I a purpose;
And to die for- an excuse.
Heart’s set on fire,
Provoked I am with desire.
Passionate as ever,
Passive no more.
Once again,
I am on the move,
Tsunami: mere ripples.
I Recognized my self
Its scent, hue,
Journey,
And Caravan.
Found the coal,
To burn my soul-oven.
Discovered the oil,
To kindle my poetic lamp.
Came to hand riches,
Gold and silver,
Rubies, and
Gems.
Once again,
Medina’s love resurrected,
My verses from the tomb within.
