SIBF Day04: The ‘legacy’ behind ഹിന്ദിന്റെ ഇതിഹാസം continues as readers demand author-signed copies from Olive Books stand at Sharjah Book fair. Rafeek got the copy to his delight, after waiting patiently for the author to reach the stall. The credit mostly goes to Shiyas Ahmad and Shaf Beypore for their superb brush strokes which leave the readers no choice but to grab the book. Thanks to Sandeep K Vallikkunnu too.
True Friends are not only our greatest strengths but verities as well. Here’s Shihaz Sultan sharing some school time memories about #HindinteIthihaasam author’s childhood obsession with history.

SIBF Day09: Presenting ഹിന്ദിന്റെ ഇതിഹാസം to the People’s Prince of Panakkad- Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal – at the Olive Books stall in #sharjahinternationalbookfair
SIBF DAY 08: Today was a ‘burdensome’ moment to receive a book which carries the weight of spiritual mountains of centuries. It’s commentaries are masterpieces in themselves. Very few books have had such lasting influence on the everyday Muslim spirituality such as Al-Hakam by Ibn Ataillah. The only similar treatise I can recall is Ihya Uloomuddin by Imam al Gazzali with similar ‘spirit-octive’ material. Al-Hakam contains short morsels of wisdom. But they are heavier than mountains.
The Malayalam translation of this book, published by BOOK PLUS Publishers, was released by the august hands of Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi in the presence of Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal at the Sharjah International Book Fair. Rendered by Muhammad Muneer Hudawi Ernamkulam, the book also features a magnificent cover design by my friend, Shiyas Ahmad.
Praying that everyone, including myself, benefits from this enormously important literary contribution for enhancing our spiritual instincts.
It was an intriguing meet with Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi (Vc, Darul Huda Islamic University) and Kareem Graphy Kakkove, the calligraphy maestro, at the BOOK PLUS Publishers stall in #sharjahinternationalbookfair. Interestingly, both found ഹിന്ദിന്റെ ഇതിഹാസം and the it’s mug attractive in content and form.
Duas can work miracles. Especially loved ones’. Alhamdulillah.
