Iqbal Radiates & Ruminates Hearts: Mujeeb Jaihoon

Sharjah Nov 03 2019: Mujeeb Jaihoon receives the book by Ahmed Moonamkai on the philosophy of Iqbalian writings from Eng. Maryam Althani Alfalasi. Also present were Dr. MK Muneer (Kerala politician), Lasitha Sangeet (malayalam writer), Ahmed Moonamkai (author), MA Shahnaz (Exective Editor, Olive Publication)and P.P Sasindran (Middle East bureau chief of Mathrubhumi). Ahmed Moonamkai is a leading translator of Urdu and Arabic writings. He has many books on Iqbal and Rumi to his credit.

It is indeed an honor to receive the book on my favorite poet. Great poets and writers unite hearts. The case of Iqbal is no different either.

The message of Iqbal permeates time and space. While there are many lessons one may learn from Iqbal’s poetry. I think one of the most important lessons we may benefit from his verses is the constant urge for human action. Iqbal believed in the virtues of human effort and enterprise.

Therefore, it is no wonder that many minds, including myself, feel incredibly energized with Iqbalian verses. The Poet-Philosopher radiates and ruminates our minds and souls with infinite imagination and vibrant voices.

Amal se zindagī bantī hai jannat bhī jahannam bhī
Ye ḳhākī apnī fitrat meñ na nuurī hai na naarī hai
Life is made of action; so is heaven and hell
This creature of clay is neither of light nor fire
