Dubai KMCC Iftar: The Humongous Celebration of Humanity

Dubai is among the most vibrant multi-ethnic cities in the world. Its residents represent almost every denomination of Adamic children. So is the case of its community Iftar gatherings, especially the one organised by Dubai Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC). The month-long free Iftar attracts residents of all nationalities and ethnicities at the Al Baraha headquarters of Dubai KMCC (Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre), hailed as the largest expatriate organization in UAE. The enthusiasm of its 148-strong volunteers in this philanthropic adventure knows no bounds, which partly explains the smile on the face of its cool-headed president, Anwar Naha, the engineer-turned community activist and son of former deputy chief minister of Kerala. This humongous celebration of humanity is expected to serve at least 75,000 people by the end of the month of Ramadan. Dubai KMCC Iftar is more than just another charity iftar. As the event reaches its seventh year, corporates compete to sponsor the foods and drinks of all tastes and hues in this humanitarian fiesta. Naha and team also makes sure the visitors gain spiritually and intellectually with the presence of preachers, entrepreneurs, thinkers, writers and change leaders in the society.
