The Carnival

Ever since they climbed the mount of Meem’s love, the lovers became strangers to themselves, thinking and feeling with the light of his love.

The Carnival

O, the sweetest song
To celebrate!
The greatest story
To narrate!
The most eloquent speech
To articulate!

O, the hero of cosmos,
The basin of mercy,
The treasure of love,
And the rain of compassion.

My sword and shield,
My mount and tent,
O Beloved Meem,
It’s hard to say what you’re not.

As death will come knocking
On the door of life,
My Love, I shall welcome
With your love.

Your love:
The tag on my soul.
Your desire:
The weapon in my battle.

Be on the earth
Or the paradise,
For sure, I shall not
Be driven away.

This world:
A solitary market.
Your love:
The carnival here.

Are you not my thirst?
Are you not my al-Kawthar?

Ever since lovers climbed
The mount of your Love,
They become strangers
To their own being.

Your love has chained
Their consciousness.
Now they think and feel
With the light of your love.

Lord created the world
And it glorified Him.
Behold, the Lord found
His Beloved in you.

Hands give up even as I begin
To write about you,
And soul starts to scream
Its unbearable passion out.
