Dear friends, it brings me immense joy to stand before you once again. Unexpectedly, the audience has changed, but as life often teaches us, we must expect the unexpected. This marks my second visit here, and I am truly honored.
Most of you are already familiar with the meaning of “Escola” – school. But have you ever pondered the significance of your own names? Our parents carefully choose names with meaning and purpose, hoping we live up to the essence they carry. It is not merely the subjects we study that define greatness; rather, it is our passion, sincerity, and love for what we pursue.
Today, I want to talk about the three fundamental C’s that can positively shape your life. The first C stands for “Caution.” In this fast-paced world, caution is paramount. We must pay attention and discern the truth from the falsehoods that surround us. Many forces strive to mislead us, and while we may not conquer them all, we must make an earnest effort.
The second C symbolizes “Consideration.” Before engaging in conversation with others, let us take a moment to think about what we say. Tailoring our words to suit our audience shows thoughtfulness and respect.
Lastly, we come to the third and last C – “Compassion.” This virtue holds immense power. It is not solely about academic accomplishments; rather, it encompasses empathy for all living beings. A compassionate heart infuses purpose into our achievements and guides us toward making a meaningful impact on the world.
Let me share a profound example of compassion from Turkey. A grandmother, before lighting the stove, shook the firewood gently to ensure no tiny creatures were harmed. We must learn from her and be compassionate, even to the smallest of beings.
Today, as we live in awe of Artificial Intelligence, let us remember that while it may be accurate, it lacks the human touch of compassion. Embracing empathy in all aspects of our lives will make us better individuals and create a kinder, more understanding world.
So, my dear friends, let us embark on this transformative journey of embracing the three C’s – Caution, Consideration, and Compassion. Together, we will forge a purposeful and compassionate life, leaving a positive impact on everyone we encounter.
