Dec 02, 2024 (Dubai): Acclaimed Indian poet and author Mujeeb Jaihoon has been awarded the prestigious Educational Excellence UAE National Award 2024 in recognition of his outstanding literary and educational contributions to the community. For over two decades, Jaihoon has been actively engaging with communities in both the UAE and India through his thought-provoking writings, inspiring speeches, and advocacy for youth empowerment.
The award recognized Jaihoon’s ability to “reshape the mindset of the youth through writings and literature,” recognizing his role in fostering critical thinking and creative expression among young minds. His impact is further amplified by his commitment to bridging cultural and intellectual gaps between communities through literature and education.
Based in Sharjah, Jaihoon is a prolific author of over 10 books. Some of his works have been translated into multiple languages including Italian, French, Urdu, Tamil, and Malayalam. His works are renowned for their profound reflections on life, culture, and spirituality. As a regular face at literary forums such as the Sharjah International Book Fair, Jaihoon has showcased his versatility as a writer and cultural ambassador. Among his notable accolades is the Sri Narayana Guru Sreshta Award (2022) for his celebrated book Slogans of the Sage.
The UAE National Award 2024 ceremony, held at the Lavender Hotel, Dubai, featured a distinguished lineup of attendees including Emirati entrepreneur Mona Sulaiman, American community leader Tahir Khalid, Chinese martial arts expert Huajin Liu, and media expert Ahmed Salama Aboushabab from Sky News Arabia. Several social media influencers, innovators, and health practitioners were also recognized for their excellence in their respective domains.
Speaking at the ceremony, Jaihoon expressed his gratitude, dedicating the award to the readers and communities who have supported his journey of words. The event, organized by West World Events, emphasized the importance of fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation across sectors.
